Fall in Love with Nature. Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, nestled along the Chesapeake Bay and Chester River, has seven unique hiking trails. Winter Bird Walks at Eastern Neck are the 1st Saturday of the month from November through March (reservations are required). Turners Creek and the Sassafras River Natural Resources Management Area has three miles of shoreline and 143-acres of woodlands, wetlands and agriculture fields, offering the precise opportunity to see a bald eagle or great blue heron in its natural habitat.
